Biography

Song Dajiang, Chief Physician, Deputy Director, and Master's Supervisor. He holds a PhD in Surgery and completed postdoctoral training in Reconstructive Surgery at the Second Military Medical University, Shanghai. In 2016, he participated in the International Advanced Clinical Training Program for Physicians in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Tokyo Hospital, Japan (under Professor Isao Koshima, President of the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery). He serves as: Member of the BUNCKE International Microsurgery Elite Club; Member of the Breast Group, Plastic Surgery Branch, Chinese Medical Association; National Youth Committee Member of the Reconstructive Surgery Committee, Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine; Member of the Plastic Surgery Branch, Hunan Medical Association; Deputy Group Leader and Secretary of the Body Surface Tumor Plastic Surgery Group, Reconstructive Surgery Committee, Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine; National Committee Member of the Oncology Plastic Surgery Branch, Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and Vice Chairman of its Youth Committee.

He received one Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Hunan Medical Association (ranked third), and one Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology (ranked third). He was awarded the “May Fourth Youth Medal” by the Hunan Provincial Health Commission and received one merit citation from the Hunan Provincial Health Commission. As principal investigator, he has undertaken two General Program projects of the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation, one Science and Technology Program Project of the Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, one postdoctoral research project at the Second Military Medical University, and one Key Translational Medicine Project at Changzheng Hospital. Over the past three years, as first author or corresponding author, he has published 25 SCI-indexed papers, two of which were selected as cover articles for the journals 《Head Neck》 and 《JPRAS》; in addition, as first author or corresponding author, he has published 47 papers in top-tier domestic core journals.

He is the editor-in-chief of the monographs 《Illustrated Atlas of Perforator Flap Surgery》, 《Surgical Atlas of Perforator Flap: A Microsurgical Dissection Technique》, and 《Breast Reconstruction: Oncoplastic Flap Surgery》, and serves as a member of the editorial board of 《Rehabilitation Guidelines for Reconstructive Surgery》. He was the chief translator of the international breast surgery monographs 《Surgery of the Breast》, 《Perforator Flaps for Breast Reconstruction》, and 《Raising of Microvascular Flaps》. He currently serves as a reviewer for the SCI journals 《PLOS ONE》, 《SURGICAL AND RADIOLOGIC ANATOMY》, and 《Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery》.
